Instagram introduces the group conversations in their stories with a new sticker

Instagram is betting heavily on transcending its social network photography status and also competing with messaging services. An address to which it points especially with its new update.

This is a new sticker that adds to music, questions, and surveys offering the possibility of creating a collective chat within a story. From first it may sound rocambolesque but it is simpler than it seems.

It all starts by creating a normal story in which the background is a text, an image or a video.

To be able to include this new sticker we will be asked to assign a name to the chat and, once the story is published, the rest of the users who see it can request to join the conversation by clicking on the tag.

All requests will appear when you slide the story up, in the same section that allows you to check which users have seen a post. By clicking on the blue button with the “tick” you can start a chat individually with another follower or with several.

During the conversation and the duration of the story, as many new participants can be added as desired. Also, eliminate those with whom you want to end the conversation.

With this new function, Instagram turns around the creation of group conversations, in which it is usually the administrator who adds the participants without the consent of the latter. Many times, causing participants to feel compelled to stay in the group without wanting to.

In this way, both parties will agree in advance to want to participate in such a massive exchange. The function is aimed at groups of friends who want to talk about the application of a specific topic for a short period of time, such as planning a birthday. After the duration of a story, the flat disappears.
