Within a year of releasing their very first gaming smartphone, Nubia has once again made an industry-first move by adding a cooling fan to their latest offering, the Red Magic 3.
Cooling has always been a factor when it comes to gaming equipment. The ROG and Razer Phone 2 both had problems staying at optimal temperature, but not the Red Magic 3. The device touts a turbo fan along with liquid cooling for extended gaming sessions.
Other notable hardware specs include a 6.65 AMOLED display, HDR support, a lightning-fast 90Hz refresh rate, 12GB of memory, 256GB internal storage and a whopping 5,000 mAh battery. Processing tasks are handled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The phone also sports quick-charging capability at 27W. As with other gaming smartphones, the Red Magic 3 will have added shoulder buttons on each side.
Nubia’s device will be available May 3 in China for approximately $430, or 2,899 yuan. Expect the phone to be released to other countries at a later time.
